Powdered tool components are pressed to near net shape and hot-temperature sintered to near "FD". The near net shape minimizes the amount of machining required, while the uniform carbide distribution provides excellent grindability in high density steel.
||High speed used for severe wear resistant components such as cam rings, pump liners, seals, and plungers.
||High speed steel with excellent hot hardness, finding applications in spade drill bits, cutting inserts, and wear plates.
||Cold-work tool steel with good wear resistance below 400 °F (200 °C) appropriate for use in wear resistant components such as knife blades, slitters, choppers, dies and punches.
